The proposed Ellis County property tax rate for Tax Year 2023 is $0.277189 per $100 of property value. This rate is below the voter-approval rate of $0.302607 but above the no-new-revenue rate of $0.251770. A public hearing on the proposed property tax rate and Fiscal Year 2024 Budget will be held on September 12th, after which Commissioners will vote to adopt the proposed tax rate and budget.
