Due to dry conditions, the Ellis County Commissioner’s Court voted in favor of issuing a county-wide burn ban in their meeting held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, Ellis County is under a burn ban. This includes all unincorporated areas of Ellis County.
Normal household activities that involve combustion, such as cooking or trash-burning in an enclosed receptacle (following all relevant regulations), are exempted.
