The Ellis County Commissioners’ Court will hold a public hearing on the Proposed FY2026 Budget on September 16th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Ellis County Courthouse, Commissioners’ Courtroom (2nd floor), 101 W. Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas.
This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $7,387,266, which is a 7.88 percent increase from last year’s budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $4,349,629.
