As part of the derailment recovery phase work, Union Pacific Railroad has collaborated with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to temporarily close the railroad crossings at Monroe Street (US 77 South), Elm Street (US 77 North), and Ferris Avenue.
🚧 The road will be closed between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 31, and Friday, August 1. Union Pacific is planning to do a clean-up, repair rough edges and joints, and replace the pavement transitions at the crossing to provide a smooth and permanent asphalt transition.
🚧 Detour options include Rogers Street, College Street, Gibson Street, Patrick Street, and Grand Avenue, which will be open and can be used to cross the railroad tracks.
