CR_R_CC_FullSizeR

Ellis County Commissioners have voted to appoint former State Representative John Wray to fill the County Judge seat beginning May 15th, when Judge Todd Little will vacate the position. Last month, Little was selected to be the new Executive Director of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). Wray will complete Judge Little’s term through the election in November 2026, when citizens will vote for the next Ellis County Judge.
Wray previously served on the Waxahachie City Council from 2008 – 2014, ultimately being elected Mayor in 2013. Chosen as the “Most Influential Person” in 2011 by readers of the Waxahachie Daily Light and Midlothian Mirror, Wray was elected to represent District 10 in the Texas House of Representatives in 2015, where he served on the Ways & Means, Public Health, Calendars, Transportation, and Homeland Security & Public Safety committees.
Welcome, Judge John Wray!
