Happy New Year, Ellis County! Here is a special message from your County Judge:
“My fellow Ellis County citizens:
A new chapter begins only with the closing of the old. In 2024, we experienced triumphs, achieved many of our goals, and formed life-long memories. Many of us also experienced loss, fell short of what we had envisioned for the year, and lived through things that we would prefer to forget. Regardless of what kind of 2024 you had, may the good continue to inspire us, and may the bad continue to bring us wisdom and strength as we strive toward 2025.
With the coming of the new year, we are blessed with the mercies of God. His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness! The future is always undetermined, but that means we have the freedom to shape it in the present.
Thank you to each and every one of you who continue to make Ellis County great! Whether you call Ellis County your home, your place of business, or both, each and every one of you offers something wonderful to our community, and I believe I speak for all Ellis County officials when I say that we are both honored and proud to serve you.
