NOTICE: Ellis-Prairie SWCD and the Ellis County Commissioners’ Court have declared a “watch” condition for Chambers Creek Watershed Dam No. 10, Texas ID TX01271 as of 6:00 p.m. on May 31st, 2024. Due to the recent excessive rainfall and ongoing dam rehabilitation, work crews have observed an elevated risk to the dam integrity. There is no immediate danger of the dam failing; however, the potential does exist. Crews are working to mitigate the risk, and a 24-hour watch has been initiated to monitor the situation.
