An ice storm warning issued by the National Weather Service has prompted Ellis County Justice Court Precinct 4 to cancel its morning jury trials and selections on Wednesday, January 28.
“Jurors come from all over the county,” a spokesman for Judge Linda Sibley said. “We don’t want to have people travelling on icy roads when it can be avoided.”
Affected proceedings will be rescheduled.
Proceedings planned for the afternoon hours will be held as originally scheduled.
