As of 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, John Arden Drive and Highway 287 Bypass remain closed between the Waxahachie Civic Center and Solon Road (Grand), with access to the area within those boundaries restricted to emergency responders and members of the media. Residents in all other sections of the county can return home safely, including residents of the Solon Place Apartment complex. EPA officials are continuing to monitor air quality in the area.
