Welcome to the Ellis County Road and Bridge Precinct 1 website. We hope you find this site informative and useful for connecting with us regarding any concerns or suggestions you may have. 

Precinct 1 is located in the northeastern part of Ellis County, Texas. Although it covers slightly more than 210.84 square miles, it encompasses over 242 miles of county roads. In addition to rural areas, Precinct 1 includes parts of the communities of Bristol, Ennis, Ferris, Garrett, Palmer, Pecan Hill, Red Oak, Rockett, and Waxahachie. 

Randy Stinson has served as Commissioner for Precinct 1 since January 2017. A lifelong resident of Ellis County, Commissioner Stinson has lived in rural Ellis County for over 50 years. He co-owned and operated a family plumbing/HVAC business for 38 years. He and his wife, Susan Clark Stinson, have been married for over 50 years and have 4 children and 14 grandchildren. 

Residents of Precinct 1 are encouraged to contact the precinct office between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at 972-825-5330. For urgent road-related issues after hours, please call the Ellis County Sheriff's dispatch office at 972-937-6060. The situation will be assessed, and on-call personnel will be dispatched as necessary.
